JOB VACANCY: PDP LEAD COACH

18 February 2022

Bradford City AFC is welcoming applications to join its inspiring and ever-growing academy structure - with a professional development phase lead coach vacancy.

Reporting to the academy manager and academy head of coaching, the successful candidate will take full responsibility for all footballers in the club's professional development phase (under-18s).

Their main responsibilities will be to deliver coaching and matchday sessions aligned to the academy's philosophy and culture, supporting other phases and departments of the programme.

The successful candidate will maintain positive relationships with both academy and first-team staff members, as well as players and parents within the academy. DBS clearance, safeguarding and protecting children, first aid for sport and a UEFA A License coaching qualification are all essential.

Bradford City AFC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people - and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Bradford City AFC promotes inclusion and confronts and eliminates discrimination - whether by reason of age, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, marital status or civil partnership, nationality, ethnicity (race), religion or belief, ability or disability, pregnancy and maternity and encourage equal opportunities. We welcome applications from all suitably-qualified persons.

The EFL has introduced positive action measures aimed at tackling the under-representation of coaches and managers from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds. New regulations require clubs to shortlist at least one suitably qualified BAME candidate (where an application has been received) for all roles in academy football that require a UEFA A or UEFA B License.

If you consider your ethnicity to fall within one of the following definitions - Black, Asian or other Minority Ethnic (i.e. from any other ethnic group that is not ‘White British’) - please inform us with your application.
