McCALL LOOKING FOR 'CONFIDENT' BANTAMS DISPLAY

12 November 2020

Stuart McCall is looking for City to play with the confidence they have demonstrated over the past couple of matches - ahead of Saturday's visit of Exeter City.

The Bantams won their first two games of November - against Southend United and Tonbridge Angels - with an aggregate scoreline of 10-0.

And McCall hopes his side can take the confidence generated from these games and the high level of training into the Utilita Energy Stadium clash.

He said: "There is a confidence among the group at the moment, and we have had a range of different players contributing - throughout the squad.

"It is up to the players to keep their form going, but they are certainly in a positive frame.

"Training has been to a very good standard recently, with the lads who did not play on Tuesday.

"We were slick and sharp which was very good, and the lads look to have recharged their batteries after a few days off."

Up against what McCall classes a strong Grecians outfit, the Bantams boss is anticipating an entertaining game.

He insists his Bantams must present their visitors with problems of their own, as they look to pick up back-to-back home league victories.

The former Scotland midfielder added: "Exeter are on very good form and have kept most of their group together from when they got to the play-off final last season.

"They are certainly a good footballing team and it promises to be an entertaining game.

"Both teams have technically good players and can play in a few different systems, so it could be quite open and very competitive.

"We are up against a good side and we know that. We will make sure it is tough for them."
