Pickford was given his marching orders after only ten minutes against Rochdale on Saturday after bringing down Dale striker Matt Done inside the box.
The incident was deemed as 'denying a goalscoring opportunity' by match referee Gavin Ward, leaving Pickford in line for a one-match suspension.
Given that Pickford isn't allowed by his parent club Sunderland to play in the F.A Cup for City and the fact that the 'keeper didn't play in the original Millwall tie at The Den, the Bantams had feared that the 20 year-old would have to serve out his ban next weekend in the League 1 match at Yeovil Town.
Having now clarified the situation with The F.A, however, City have been informed that Pickford can indeed use the Millwall tie for his one-match suspension even though he wouldn't have played in the game anyway.
City were considering appealing the Pickford dismissal but the club decided against such action once they were aware that the goalkeeper would be available for this Saturday's match at Yeovil.
Bantams boss Phil Parkinson said: "We were confident of getting it (Jordan Pickford's ban) overturned given the indications we had received over the weekend but there is no point appealing now once we knew Jordan would only miss the Millwall tie."
