KELLY PUSHING FOR A POSITIVE END TO BANTAMS SEASON

12 April 2024

Ciarán Kelly is hoping the Bantams can end the season on a high, ahead of this Saturday's trip to face Salford City.

With four games remaining in the season, The Irishman wants the side to pick up as many points between now and the end of the campaign as possible, to set them up for a successful 2024/25.

“We will be pushing to win every game,” he said.

“We have not had the season we set out to have, but we want to push for a good run-in for the end of the season.

“We want to win our remaining games, and see where we are following that.

“We want to build consistency. That is something that has caused us problems this season.

“We have had good spells, and good runs of games with wins, but just have not had the consistency with it.”

City's No.18 spoke about the trust and confidence the side have within their defensive structure, only conceding one goal in the last three games.

Following a three-match unbeaten run, Kelly has called for the Bantams to continue a good upturn in form when visiting the Peninsula Stadium this weekend.

“Our unity is key,” Kelly added.

“We all know our jobs, we all know what we have to do when we are out on that pitch.

“We all have good relationships on and off that pitch, which always helps.

“We are all confidant in each other, and that is what you need. We all have that in defence.

“We know that they are a good side, we drew at home against them in the reverse fixture.

“We know that it is going to be a tough game, but if we do the right things, then we put our best foot forward towards getting three points.”

Away tickets for tomorrow's clash are SOLD OUT, with over 1,300 Bantams set to descend on the Peninsula Stadium.
