Emmanuel Osadebe has lauded the City support and how it helped him through his injury rehabilitation, ahead of tomorrow’s game against Gillingham at the University of Bradford Stadium.

The midfielder played 18 minutes from the bench in Tuesday's defeat at Swindon Town, his second-longest stint on the field this season after breaking his leg in the opening game.

City’s No.8 feels defeat in midweek will only give him and his teammates more motivation as the Bantams look to bounce back to winning ways.

“I am grateful, grateful to everyone,” Osadebe said.

“To be involved at this stage, not many would have believed it at the start of the season after what happened.

“You do not forget the support from the fans and the people around you at the club. It makes you understand what kind of club you are at. It gives you something to work hard for, and it makes you want to give extra.

“The fans have been supportive of me from day one, I could not have asked for more from them.

“They have got me through every day. Seeing that support and love from the fans, I hope to repay the favour and express my gratitude with my play on the pitch.

“Every day, I want to play a game after the time I lost. Showing what myself and the team are capable of, I am happy to be a part of it.”

After falling to a first defeat in 12 on Tuesday, Osadebe still believes Mark Hughes' men have what it takes to make this season a success.

He credited the belief and drive in the City dressing room, and is looking forward to returning to action with a point to prove on Saturday.

“Everyone believes, and I most certainly believe,” he added.

“What we set out to achieve at the start of the season is in our hands. It is something that we can do, and everyone in the group believes it.

“We still believe automatic promotion is achievable. That was our goal from the start of the season, and until the last game, we will still believe we can do it.

“When we lose, we bounce back well. I hope that will be the case on Saturday. Hopefully we win, and win well.

“Winning four out of four is possible. We are a brilliant team and with the fans we have, winning four games is something we should be able to do.”
