Ryan East credited City's team togetherness, as Andy Cook’s 13th goal of the season claimed all three points for the Bantams at Salford City.
City’s No.16, making his first league start since August, impressed in midfield to help Mark Hughes' men secure their first victory at the Peninsula Stadium.
The summer signing spoke highly of the team’s performance and intensity shown, as the Bantams clinched a fourth-successive away victory.
He said: “The fact we have won here today, for the first time in four attempts, shows the team togetherness we have.
“You could see from minute one what we were trying to do. We played at such a high intensity, and ultimately got what we deserved in the end.
“When teams come out and play, like how we do, we find it easier because we can set traps and go and press the ball.
“When you have Andy Cook on the pitch, all you have to do is look for him. You know he is going to be there to score goals.
“Everything he touches goes into the back of the net; it is brilliant for us. I also felt the back four were excellent today.
“I must praise the togetherness we have as a team. It is on show for everyone to see.”
East, who was handed his opportunity after Alex Gilliead recently became a father, discussed the depth the squad has, as well commending over 1,300 travelling Bantams for their support at Moor Lane.
He added: “You can see the amount of talent we have within the squad. Because of that, you have always got to stay ready.
“I know I have been out of the starting 11 for a while, but I got my opportunity to come in today and hopefully I grabbed it with both hands.
“I want to play as many games as possible for this club, and Tuesday against Burton Albion is no different.
“We will go into that game with the confidence we can take from today’s result, and look to get the job done in the group stages.
“The fans are a big part of the confidence we are showing; they make a massive difference. When we play away, with the noise they generate, it feels like we are at home.
“With their support, it is like having a 12th player on the field. I feel like the fans appreciate everything and everyone within the club.
“The scenes at full-time were great, and that was probably one of my best feelings in football. It made our weekend, and hopefully we made theirs.
“I am really happy with how today went, securing the 3 points.”
