SIKORA LEAVES BY MUTUAL CONSENT

17 January 2022

Bradford City AFC has today mutually agreed to cancel the contract of Jorge Sikora, to allow him to pursue other playing opportunities.

The young defender signed a one-year professional deal in the summer of 2020, having graduated from the City academy after joining as an under-13, before penning a one-year extension in June.

Sikora has turned out once for Derek Adams’ side this season, against Manchester United Under-21s in the Papa John’s Trophy, and served a spell on loan at Spennymoor Town prior to the turn of the year.

In total, the 19-year-old made six professional appearances for the Bantams, having made his first-team debut in September 2019.

Sikora said: “I would like to thank everyone at Bradford City who has helped me and been a part of my experience over the past six years, in the academy and first team.

“It was a mutual agreement between the club and I for me to leave, with everything in my best interests and allowing me to play football elsewhere.

“This club has enabled me to fulfil a childhood dream by playing professional football, and I wish it the very best for the future.”

Bradford City AFC would like to take this opportunity to thank Jorge for his efforts at the club, and wish him the best for the future.
