ABOUT THE GROUND

Brunton Park has been home to Carlisle United for over 100 years, playing host to the Blues since 1909.

The ground is comprised of four stands - the Main Stand and Paddock, the Warwick Road End, The Pioneer Stand and the Waterworks End.

The ground also played host to an Elton John concert in 2007.

CAR PARKING

Cars are charged £3.00 to use the car park on site at Brunton Park, located to the rear of the Pioneer Stand.

Street parking is available in the local area but spaces are taken swiftly on matchday. Free parking is available at the Rosehill Industrial estate which is a 20-minute walk from the stadium.

PLEASE NOTE: Cars will only be allowed to exit the car park after the game, once all supporters have cleared the area and any away coaches have left the stadium.

ENTERTAINMENT AND REFRESHMENTS

Supporters are advised that all payments are now CASHLESS in the away areas of the stadium, with supporters able to pay by card only, at refreshment kiosks.

To drink:

In the away concourse situated in the Pioneer Stand, there is a bar which serves hot food and drinks.

Local catering partners are also available who provide a range of quality foods and beverages for your enjoyment. They are located on the west side of the stadium, in the main car park. These include The Chippie Van, a burger outlet, the Horsebox Bar and John Watt & Son coffees and teas.

Carlisle Rugby Club is a two-minute walk from Brunton Park and can be accessed from the main car park, via a footpath.

They host home and away fans on a matchday and serve drinks and a small selection of food.

The Howard Arms - located on Lowther Street - is also another option for away supporters travelling from Carlisle town centre.

To eat:

Local restaurants include Stoneyholme Golf Course which has access to and from the supporters' car park - and the Beehive, which is opposite Brunton Park along Warwick Road.

Warwick Road also hosts many other restaurants and areas to purchase food - including Nando’s, Warwick Fish & Chips, Casa Romana Italian restaurant, Alexandros Greek restaurant, Claire’s Bakery, Lakeland Gate Inn, Toby Carvery and Tesco.

All these establishments are within walking distance of Brunton Park.

GETTING THERE

DUE TO RAIL STRIKES, THERE ARE NO TRAINS RUNNING ON BOXING DAY. PLEASE, WHERE POSSIBLE, FIND ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION.

By car:

Brunton Park is easy to reach by car as it is just off the M6. Leave the motorway at junction 43 and take the first exit off the roundabout.

The blue roof of the Pioneer Stand can be seen on the right-hand side, almost as soon as you leave the roundabout.

Keep going straight ahead along Warwick Road (A69) and pass through the third set of traffic lights.

The club shop (Blues Store) and Hughie McIlmoyle statue mark the main entrance to the ground.

By bus:

Take the number 76 bus from the city centre and alight at the Lakeland Gate Inn.

Head back a short distance from the direction you travelled on the bus and Brunton Park is on your right-hand side.

WEATHER

City fans should prepare for a cold afternoon in Cumbria, with highs of just 4°C. Sunny spells are forecast with the chance of rain at 10%.
