AWAY DAY GUIDE: NORTHAMPTON TOWN v CITY

9 April 2022

The Bantams are on the road again this afternoon - making the 138-mile journey south to Sixfields, to face Northampton Town.

We have compiled a handy Away Day Guide - packed full of useful information ahead of the 3.00pm Sky Bet League Two contest!

STADIUM ADDRESS

Sixfields Stadium

Upton Way

Northampton

NN5 5QA

THE GROUND

City supporters will be located in the South Stand at Sixfields Stadium. This particular stand is a covered, all-seater section of the ground situated behind one end of the stadium to the right of the main stand at Northampton.

Sixfields has four covered single-tier stands, the main of which is the West Stand.

The stadium hosted a number of Coventry City home league games during the 2013/14 season due to a rental dispute with the owners of the Ricoh Arena.

TICKETS

Tickets will be available to purchase from Northampton Town this afternoon - with a £2 increase in prices - with around 600 City supporters set to make the trip.

They will be available from the cabin outside Sixfields' South Stand with ONLY CARD PAYMENT, and no cash, accepted.

Admission prices on the day are as follows:

Adult: £24

Over-65/Under-21: £20

Under-18: £12

Under-7: FREE

Disabled supporters at Sixfields will be charged the above, age-related price and are entitled to a free carer ticket, while proof of age will be required for concessions.

CAR PARKING

There is a supporters' car park available for use at Sixfields Stadium, with spaces costing £4 each.

Fans are not advised to park in any of the restaurant and leisure facility car parks nearby.

Supporters parking in any areas other than the official car parks at Sixfields Stadium unfortunately run the risk of being issued with a ticket by the parking enforcement officers that patrol the surrounding roads on a matchday.

ENTERTAINMENT & REFRESHMENTS

To drink: In terms of pubs, fans can look towards the Sixfields Tavern and Flaming Grill pub, both of which are near to the stadium.

At the ground itself there is the 'Carrs Bar' which is open to home and away supporters.

To eat: Sixfields Stadium is built on a leisure complex on the outskirts of Northampton town centre, meaning away supporters have plenty of choice for pre-match food and drink.

Nearby food outlets include KFC, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, TGI Fridays and Bella Italia.

GETTING THERE

By road: Stay on the M1 motorway until Junction 16.

Take the A45 towards Northampton and the ground will be eventually visible on your right.

The Sixfields Stadium is signposted around the local area.

By rail: Northampton Railway Station is just over two miles away from Sixfields Stadium.

A taxi rank is located across the road from the main entrance to the station and there is also a bus stop near to the station, with the number 15 bus going past the ground and running every twenty minutes or so.

Buses D1, D2, D3 and number 50 also go past the stadium but they only run every hour. If in doubt, please check with the driver when boarding a bus to see if it passes by the Sixfields Stadium.

WEATHER

The Met Office has predicted a dry day where spells of sunshine will be split up by clouds - with highs of 9°C expected.
