ADAMS: 'WE HAVE TO BE MORE CLINICAL'

Derek Adams reiterated that his side must be more clinical in front of goal, following this afternoon’s draw against Bristol Rovers.

The Bantams were held to a 2-2 draw at the Utilita Energy Stadium, with Brett Pitman’s late header meaning the points were shared.

Adams felt his side dominated the match, but once again failed to finish their chances.

He said: “It was a really good performance for the majority of the game. We dominated Bristol Rovers.

“We created so many good opportunities in the game, and really should have put the game to bed.

“It looked like we were going to get the third goal but, at the end of the day, we have not - and they killed us at the end with a ball into the box and a header which was unstoppable.

“We just have to be more clinical because, as I said, we are creating really good opportunities on goal.”

The Scot felt his opposition did not deserve to come away with a point and was disappointed his side proved unable to secure the win.

He added: “We have been kicked in the teeth and Bristol Rovers have come away with an undeserved point.

“The statistics will tell you how much we dominated the match, but the only stats that matter are the two goals on each side.

“We had 15 opportunities on goal and really should have gone ahead with a greater margin at half-time.

“If I was the opposition, I would be delighted and probably be celebrating in the way they did after the game.”

The Bantams are back in action at home to Hartlepool United on Tuesday, with the game also available to stream LIVE via iFollow. CLICK HERE for full details.
