Derek Adams again praised the mental strength of his side, ahead of City's visit of Bristol Rovers on Saturday.

The Bantams welcome Joey Barton's men to the Utilita Energy Stadium this weekend, and will be looking to build on the success of their last home performance against Rochdale.

The City chief is again looking for his side to demonstrate a strong mentality - having yet to be beaten at home in the league.

He said: “We have got a lot of strong characters in the dressing room and a lot of players trying to build on that mentality.

“We have taken in players who have also got that about them.

“Mentality and understanding how to win a football match is vitally important, and I think we as a team understand that.

“When you look at players, you look at their mental strength. We certainly had it in abundance last Saturday and want to continue showing it.”

The Bantams boss also highlighted the importance of every individual game ahead of a tough fixture against a confident Bristol Rovers side - who are fresh off a 3-0 victory against Carlisle.

Adams is under no illusions over the threat Saturday's visitors pose to his side's unbeaten home run, and knows City have to be at their best.

He added: “Bristol Rovers come in off a great victory last weekend.

“They have got one of the best squads in the league, with a vast number of experienced players.

“We have to be on our game to get three points.

“We want to treat every match as a cup final, and I do not see this being any different to any other fixture.”
