The Bantams will take on Port Vale this Saturday at 12.00pm in Sky Bet League Two, with the game set to be televised LIVE on Sky Sports.

We have created an Away Day Guide for the 900 supporters already set to make the trip to Stoke-on-Trent.

STADIUM ADDRESS

Port Vale

Vale Park

Hamil Road

ABOUT THE GROUND

Port Vale have played their games at Vale Park since 1950, having been evicted from their previous home - The Old Recreation Ground.

Vale Park once hosted a rock concert featuring Motorhead and Ozzy Osbourne. The concert was attended by Lars Ulrich, months before he formed Metallica.

In 1985 the stadium was used by Stoke Spitfires American football team. It is the second-larget ground in the division by capacity - behind the Utilita Energy Stadium

Supporters will be able to pay on the day tomorrow, from the CASH ONLY away sales kiosk outside the away end, from 10.00am.

GETTING THERE

By car:

The ground itself is located in the town of Burslem. The stadium postcode is ST6 1AW.

Leave the M6 at junction 15 or 16 and take the A500 until the A527 Tunstall exit, where you take the A527 towards Tunstall.

At the next island, just past the Price Kensington factory, turn right for Burslem Town centre. Continue on this road up the hill, crossing another island into Burslem.

Continue straight over the traffic lights at the crossroads and then take the first road on the left, which takes you down to the ground.

By train:

Trains run to the main Stoke-on-Trent train station, from there you can catch a bus to Burslem Town centre, or get a taxi that should cost between £5 and £10.

You can also get a train to Longport train station, which is roughly a half-hour walk to Vale Park. Head up to station street, then onto Newcastle street until you reach Burslem town centre. Hamil road is then on your left.

PARKING

Car parking is available directly in front of the Hamil Road Stand which is accessible through gate C.

Prices are £5.00 for cars, £16.00 per mini bus and £25.00 for each coach.

ENTERTAINMENT AND REFRESHMENTS

Due to the early nature of the game, there are no pubs open to away fans prior to kick-off.

Tommy Cheadle’s pub, located near the away stand, is open to home fans only on this occasion.

Turnstiles will open at 11.00am and alcohol will be served on the concourse, however this privilege will be revoked in the event of disorder, as alcohol will come off sale before half-time.

Pies, burgers and confectionery will be available on the concourse.

Supporters are advised to head to their seats before 11.50am, in order to partake in Port Vale's annual remembrance activities.

WEATHER

The Met Office has scheduled a cloudy day, with highs of 12°C and chance of sun at 3.00pm.
