Bradford City AFC is delighted to announce Human Relief Foundation has agreed a one-year deal to become the club’s official charity partner.

An international charity, Human Relief Foundation was founded in Bradford in 1991. It works across the globe providing emergency aid and humanitarian support to people suffering as a result of conflict, social upheaval, poverty, and environmental disaster.

In addition to being the club’s official website partner, and having branding displayed in the Utilita Energy Stadium, HRF will now provide City players, staff and supporters the opportunity to be involved in various humanitarian deployments worldwide, while continuing to be recognised around Valley Parade.

The club also recently donated 30 bags and boxes of stock to HRF, for distribution across the globe.

Since forming, the charity's projects have supported millions of people. Currently, they provide thousands of shelters for Rohingya refugees in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, clean water projects in Ghana, Pakistan, Bangladesh and India, hunger relief in Yemen, numerous projects in Iraq, and support Syrian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon.

Davide Longo, City’s commercial director, said: “We are extremely pleased to be strengthening our ties with Human Relief Foundation, who become the official charity partner of Bradford City AFC, and are delighted to see them take their backing of the club to the next level.

“The work they continue to do to this day - having formed 30 years ago - is nothing short of extraordinary, and we are proud to be associated with such a fantastic charity with great values.

“In Bradford, we are passionate about everyone being treat fairly and equally, which was demonstrated heavily through the ‘City For All’ campaign. This partnership reinforces how we want to do all we can to give as much help as possible to those who need it, and stand up for the right things.

“We are looking forward to covering new ground with Human Relief Foundation over the coming 12 months, and thank them once again for their fantastic support and co-operation.”

Dr Nabeel Al-Ramadhani, president of Human Relief Foundation, said: “We are really excited to become Bradford City’s official charity partner.

“As a Bradford-based international humanitarian NGO, we have long seen the club’s positive impact on the local community, and see this as a real opportunity to work together in support of each other’s projects.”
