ADAMS: ‘WE SHOULD HAVE THE THREE POINTS’

8 December 2021

Derek Adams again felt his side deserved more from the game, following City's 0-0 draw with Colchester United in Sky Bet League Two.

The Bantams had a total of 10 shots in the game, but proved unable to convert any of them.

Adams believes City should have left the Utilita Energy Stadium with all three points.

He said: “We had a very strong performance in the first half. We played on the front foot and created some really good openings in the game.

“We did not do as well in the second half. We did not create as many opportunities and had to do better.

“Over the 90 minutes, with the chances we created, we should have the three points.”

Adams’ side next face 6th-placed Sutton United at the Utilita Energy Stadium on Saturday.

The Bantams boss believes it will be a tough game at Valley Parade, particularly given the tight turnaround.

Adams added: “Sutton have done really well this season, and started in a strong manner.

“We have got a tough game. They have come off a defeat to Newport where they went 2-0 up.

“They will come here and play without any fear, and that is a dangerous thing you have to play against.

“We do realise that, and have to get the better of them.”
