TEAM NEWS

City: Levi Sutton will once again be unavailable for the Bantams after Conor Sellars confirmed the Bantams are hoping to see him back in contention - folloiwng a calf tear - early next week.

Charles Vernam and Billy Clarke both featured off the bench in Hertfordshire and will be pushing for starts against their former club.

Callum Cooke, Lee Novak and Reece Staunton are still sidelined, though Gareth Evans could make his 100th league appearance in claret and amber.

Grimsby: Former Bantam James Hanson is looking likely to feature for the Mariners, after starting against Cheltenham Town last time out.

James McKeown has started the last seven matches and should play a part at the Utilita Energy Stadium.

Ex-City defender Luke Hendrie is also likely to start, though Filipe Morais is injured.

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAID:

Conor Sellars: “Grimsby are picking up points they need, and their unbeaten run is showing everyone in the league they will not just roll over.

“They are hard to beat and we can expect a tough game, which we have said to the players.

“We have seen when going up against teams this season who are in dangerous league positions that they will not give us an easy game, and we cannot afford to get complacent.

“They are fighting as hard as they can to try and get points, and so we have to be wary of what they will bring.”
