McCALL LOOKING TO BULD ON POSITIVES

Stuart McCall has called for side to build on the positives from their encouraging start to the season - at Doncaster Rovers this evening.

City take on the Sky Bet League One outfit in the EFL Trophy this evening (7.30pm) at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Although the Bantams boss intends to make changes to his side, McCall demands the standards remain high and hopes City can gather winning momentum.

He said: “Winning is a habit. We want to go to Doncaster, put in a good performance and try to win the game.

“We will make changes from the game against Bolton, and the lads who were on the bench at the weekend will certainly play.

“We are hoping to see a couple of the younger lads involved, as well.”

City narrowly lost out 4-3 to tonight's hosts in a pre-season friendly at the Utilita Energy Stadium last month.

However, McCall drew positives from his team’s performance and is hopeful they can build upon their winning start to the 2020/21 campaign.

“We will be ready,” added McCall.

“We had a good game against Doncaster in pre-season and I was encouraged by our performance.

“Just because the side will not be the same as it was at the weekend, that does not mean to say we will take it any lighter.”
