OTEH EXPECTING 'SIMILAR' ROCHDALE TEST

Aramide Oteh expects Rochdale to provide a "similar" test to Shrewsbury Town, ahead of City’s final Leasing.com Trophy Northern Group F fixture.

The Bantams secured an Emirates FA Cup replay with a 1-1 draw at the Sky Bet League One Shrews on Saturday.

And Oteh is confident the Bantams’ experiences against higher-league opposition will help them against Dale.

The 21-year-old said: "It may turn out a similar game to the Shrewsbury one, with Rochdale being in the same division.

"We have to go out and do the same again, on Tuesday. Hopefully, our experiences from Saturday will help us, a little bit.

"We played well, on Saturday, and probably deserved better than what we left with.

"We have looked back at our performance and will be hoping to build on it, against Rochdale.

"We know it will be a tough game and we are heading into it prepared."

The Queens Park Rangers loanee hopes to continue building momentum, both individually and collectively, against the Greater Manchester outfit.

Oteh has scored two goals in his last two matches and - following a "positive" result against the Shrews - is adamant momentum will be key over a busy run of fixtures.

"I have been in decent scoring form, recently, and am hoping I will be able to carry it on, to help the team," the forward added.

"The momentum is going to be massive, heading into these next few weeks, with a busy schedule ahead.

"We picked up a decent result, on Saturday, so it is about taking the positives from that and using the momentum we have to keep pushing.

"We need to keep our feet on the ground and take each game as it comes, and the next game is Rochdale."

Supporters are able to PAY ON THE GATE for this evening's affair, with City fans housed in the bottom tier of the JCT600 Stand.
