MAMMA MIA BACKING BANTAMS IN FA CUP

8 November 2019

City’s Emirates FA Cup shirts will carry club partner Mamma Mia’s branding - this weekend - when Gary Bowyer’s Bantams face Shrewsbury Town in round one.

As part of the deal struck during the summer, which saw the launch of The Mamma Mia Stand at the Utilita Energy Stadium, the Bradford-based Italian restaurant will be featured on the strip’s left sleeve.

Mamma Mia are long-standing partners of the Bantams and are delighted to be unveiling an extension to their agreement with the club.

Leno Massimo, general manager of the restaurant - located in the heart of the city centre - said: "We are delighted to be adding to our initial partnership by supporting the playing strips, in the FA Cup.

"We launched the Mamma Mia Stand back in July, having appeared on the shorts in recent seasons, and this was a fantastic fit for us, on the back of that announcement.

"We wish Gary Bowyer and the players all the very best for Saturday. Hopefully, we can progress through into the next round."

Should City defeat Shrewsbury tomorrow, the Mamma Mia branding will also appear on the Bantams’ playing shirts in round two of the competition.

City’s commercial manager, Michael Shackleton, added: "We are thrilled to be further developing our long-standing and hugely-successful partnership with Mamma Mia.

"Leno and the team are fantastic supporters of the club and it will be great to see their name up in lights as we enter the Emirates FA Cup."
