BIG MATCH PREVIEW: SHREWSBURY v CITY

The kick their 2019/20 Emirates FA Cup campaign off tomorrow with a visit to Shrewsbury Town. 

Gary Bowyer's men look to continue their Sky Bet League Two form at Montgomery Waters Meadow, with action set to get underway from 3.00pm. 

City's Sky Bet League One opponents currently sit 11th in the fourth tier, following an 18th-place finish, last season.

TEAM NEWS

City: City boss Gary Bowyer will be without the services of Callum Cooke tomorrow, after the midfielders dismissalin last week's win over Exeter City. 

Dylan Connolly could be pushing for a start after returning as a substitute, last weekend.

Daniel Devine will make his 50th appearance in City colours, should he be involved. 

Shrewsbury: Ro-Shaun Williams will again be available for selection after serving his one-match suspension, last time out. 

Ethan Ebanks-Landell and Ryan Giles are fit again - following injuries - however Max O'Leary may not be risked. 

Ryan Sears, Lenell John-Lewis and former Bantam Romain Vincelot are long-term absentees. 

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAID

Gary Bowyer: "We have to try and build more memories and create history of our own, beginning on Saturday.

"As our supporters know, these cup competitions give us the opportunity to create memories which last a lifetime.

"Shrewsbury are obviously a league above us so will go in as favourites, while we are the underdogs. We are going there to have a really good go at it."

Sam Ricketts: "It is a tough one, in this round. Being in Sky Bet League One, we are top of the tree.

"I do not really know what constitutes a good or bad draw. All I could have asked for is a home draw and we have got that.

"We have a good side. But, it does not matter who you play, - it is the FA Cup."

LAST TIME OUT

City's last meeting with Shrewsbury came in Sky Bet League One, last season. 

The Bantams recorded a memorable 4-3 victory after David Ball's dramatic, last-gasp winner.

Sam Purkiss has taken charge of 11 games this season, issuing 37 yellow cards. 
 
The official has already taken charge of the Bantams on one occassion, this season, showing five yellow cards in a 3-2 defeat at Cheltenham Town. 
 
Purkiss will be flanked by Darren Wilding and Lisa Rashid, with Aaron Jackson in as fourth official.
