Due to demand, the club has released a further 300 tickets to Sunderland ahead of Saturday’s eagerly-anticipated Sky Bet League One fixture.
These tickets are for seats situated in Block E of the Northern Commercials Stand, in Midland Road. This area is where the netting is usually placed to separate visiting supporters and City fans.
This decision has been made in conjunction with West Yorkshire Police and the club’s safety team.
City supporters, who have already purchased tickets to sit in Block E, will be contacted today - and will receive a £10 retail voucher.
Subject to availability, displaced ticket holders will be granted a choice of seat. In order to take advantage of the opportunity to secure a preferred alternate seat, you can call the City ticket office - on 01274 770012.
Paula Watson, the club’s head of operations, said: “Sunderland sold out of their initial ticketing allocation and this decision has been made following deliberation between both parties.
“The decision has not been taken lightly and I would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
“Demand for tickets is obviously very high and we want to create a great atmosphere that everyone can enjoy.
“We have taken advice from West Yorkshire Police and our safety team in terms of how best to facilitate the additional Sunderland supporters.
“For any inconvenience caused and to thank supporters this change may affect, we have provided a £10 retail voucher which can be used in The City Shop - at any time during the 2018/19 season.”
All supporters whose tickets become displaced will need to collect new tickets, either prior to the day of the game or on Saturday - from 9.00am.
