There’s only one week to go until over 120 people swap their beds for the cold, concrete floor in the JCT600 Stand.
With only one week to go, the Club are calling upon all City supporters to join them in this year’s Sleep Out event at the Northern Commercials Stadium.
On Thursday 22nd November, over 120 people will be sleeping in the West Stand concourse to raise money for Centrepoint, a charity which supports 150 homeless young people aged 16-25 in Bradford every single day.
Last week, the Oakwell Stadium held Sleep Out Barnsley and raised over £32,000 for Centrepoint.
We are aiming to beat last year’s grand total of £30,000 and help the charity introduce the Centrepoint Sport Training Centre Programme in Bradford.
Centrepoint Sport is a programme which uses Street Football to improve the emotional wellbeing, resilience, motivation and self-confidence of young people who are homeless or at risk and turn their lives around.
There will be food, entertainment and live music to celebrate the work Centrepoint do and to help the sleepers get settled for the night as they prepare to sleep on the West Stand’s concrete floor.
While Sleep Out doesn’t aim to replicate homelessness, it does give you an insight into the challenges faced by those sleeping rough.
As well as showing the Club’s support, Paula Watson and Isabel Pitts – two members of City’s off-field team – will be taking part in the Sleep Out.

In 2017, 86,000 young people in the UK approached their local council because they were homeless or at risk of homelessness. Over 6,300 of these young people were here in Yorkshire.
The Club urge all supporters to join them in this fantastic event, or donate, to fund Centrepoint and the amazing work they do.
