The 25-year old defender joins the club from Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen on a three-year deal.
The former Republic of Ireland U21 international helped guide Burton Albion to the Championship in 2016 following spells with Blackburn Rovers, Plymouth Argyle, and Torquay United.
Having featured in over 50 games for The Dons since his move to Pittodrie in 2016, boss Derek McInnes had hoped to persuade the versatile defender to pen an extended deal with the club, commenting:
“Anthony has been an integral part of the team and has been playing week-in, week-out.”
Head of Recruitment Greg Abbott commented:
"There’s been a lot of interest in Anthony and he’s very well thought of at his former club, Aberdeen."
"It’s always a good sign when a manager is upset to lose a player and I know that Aberdeen definitely wanted to keep the lad."
"It’s no surprise he’s so well thought of because he is a really good professional, and he’s a tough kid. He’s got a great character and brings some real presence and pace to our back line."
"Adding Anthony to the group of lads we've already got here means we’ve got some really good options in defensive areas."
Subject to the usual regulatory clearances, O'Connor's Bradford City contract will commence on 1 July.
