The Bantams DO (Disabled Organisation) AGM will be held on Thursday 7th April at 7:00pm in the 1911 Suite at the Coral Windows Stadium.
The meeting is open to everyone, although only full members will be able to vote. There is no fixed membership fee, but we ask that all full members make a donation (suggested £5.00). This will go directly towards funding activities and events for Bantams DO.
Full membership is open to all who have a disability, or are interested in the issues that affect disabled people at Bradford City. Both new and existing members will be able to sign up to membership for the coming year on the night. As part of the meeting, the existing committee is proposing to amend the Bantams DO constitution. This will make the rules within the constitution clearer for all members and will make the constitution a more practical working document. The proposed constitution is available to view on our website, www.bantamsdo.co.uk and there will be a formal vote as part of the agenda.
The meeting will also involve the election of the Bantams DO committee for 2016/2017. All members are invited to put themselves forward for a position on the committee. The following positions are available:
- Vice Chair
- Social Media Officer
- Fundraising Officer
- Events Officer
- Safeguarding Officer
- PR Officer.
Anyone who wishes to stand in the election should send a short summary of their skills and experiences to firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday 31st March. This will be circulated to members to allow them to vote. The vote will take place on the night and the result will be formally announced at the AGM. You can also vote by e-mail if you are unable to attend.
The meeting will also include a section for members’ questions. We invite anyone who wishes to ask a question to submit it in advance to email@example.com so that it can be answered within the course of the meeting.
