The match at the Coral Windows Stadium will kick off at 7:45pm.
The league fixture was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday 12 December 2015 but it unfortunately had to be postponed due to persistent and heavy rain showers throughout match-day.
The new date for the Southend game means City's game with the Shrimpers will be sandwiched between an away match against Peterborough United (Saturday 13 February) and a home fixture with Rochdale (Saturday 20 February).
Tickets for the original Southend fixture will be valid for the new match.
