MORRIS CONTINUES ON HIS ROAD TO RECOVERY

3 November 2015

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson admits that Josh Morris is still on the road to recovery as the midfielder continues to be hampered by a knee problem.

Morris returned to full training at the start of last week but he is unfortunately still feeling the affects of the ligament damage he suffered towards the end of the Fleetwood Town away match in mid September.

Despite travelling with the squad to the Millwall game at the weekend, the 24 year-old will definitely miss this Tuesday's home match with Blackpool as the club bid to finally rid Morris of any lingering issues.

Parkinson said: "Slightly frustrating for Josh. He’s just not quite comfortable with his knee at the moment

"We’ve got to decide what we do about that, we’re going to see somebody tomorrow (Tuesday) about that.

"It’s not a major problem, it’s not as if he’s going to need surgery or anything but it’s just that final bit, he’s just not himself in training."

There is better news regarding Billy Clarke, however.

The striker, who missed nearly three months with a knee injury, made a welcome return to action ten minutes from the end against Millwall.

Parkinson said: "It’s great to see him back and he’s trained well again today (Monday).

"It’s hard to get Billy off the training pitch, he wants to be out there all the time and improving and that’s what you want.

"He’s ready."
