The Bantams recorded a welcome home win after firing three past Leyton Orient at the Coral Windows Stadium.

After dominating the latter stages of the first period, City were given the half-time lead thanks to a close range finish three minutes from the break by Billy Knott, who celebrated his 22nd birthday yesterday.

Despite looking relatively comfortable and hitting the post with a header from Andy Halliday, the Bantams were pegged back in the second half, however, when substitute David Mooney drew Orient level after capitalising on a Rory McArdle slip in the 75th minute.

Roughly a minute later though, the game swung back in City's favour when former Bantams loanee Chris Dagnall was given a straight red card for a lunge on Knott.

Phil Parkinson's side took full advantage of their new found one-man advantage, firing in two goals in just over two and a half minutes to make the points safe.

Two minutes after Dagnall's dismissal, the impressive Billy Clarke had City back in front when slammed home after James Meredith's cross had fallen into his path deep inside the box.

Strike partner Jon Stead then wrapped up the win for the Bantams shortly afterwards when he charged down an attempted clearance by Orient 'keeper Adam Legzdins before rounding the shot-stopper and firing into the vacant goal.

79min: GOAL!!!!! Bradford City 2 Leyton Orient 1 - City are back in front! James Meredith's driven ball across the area is narrowly missed by the lunging Stead but Clarke is waiting behind him to slam the ball home from around eight yards out.
76min: RED CARD - Dagnall is sent off for a fierce lunge on Knott.
75min: GOAL - Bradford City 1 Leyton Orient 1 - Agony for City again. City have looked in control for most of this game but a slip from McArdle allows Mooney the chance to run clear of goal and fire past Pickford.
73min: Stead's ball across the six yard box looks for Clarke but Legzdins dives on the ball just in time to deny the striker an easy tap-in.
71min: Yeates' hanging cross is headed for goal by Halliday. Legzdins gets his hands on the effort and manages to push it against the inside of his own near post! The ball somehow stays out and Orient can clear.
69min: Knott's pass finds Stead in shooting space just outside the box but his left-footed drive is straight at Legzdins.
66min: Stead plays a clever pass out into the path of Yeates, who is in yards over by the left hand side of Orient's half. Yeates uses the space to drive into the area but his left-footed drive is tame and straight at Legzdins.
65min: SUB - Orient bring on David Mooney for Plasmati.
58min: Dossena's far post corner delivery is sent over the bar via a looping header from Nathan Clarke.
56min: YELLOW CARD - Darby is booked for a late tackle on Dean Cox just inside City's own half of the pitch.
55min: Yeates strikes for goal from around 20 yards out but his low drive is straight at Legzdins.
53min: Orient have a penalty appeal turned down when Dossena's attempted cross into the box appears to hit Darby's arm. In fairness to the City skipper, his arm was down by his side when the supposed contact happened.
51min: Stephen Darby's forward pass nearly sees Clarke past Cuthbert and through on goal but, again, Legdzins is out early and able to gather just in time.
50min: Stead's effort on the turn from just outside the box goes wide of goal by a yard or so.
49min: Stead's well-timed pass allows Halliday to beat Orient's offside trap and run clear of goal. The winger looks for a second to be getting onto the ball but Legzdins narrowly beats him to the attempted pass just inside his own box.
46min: Orient begin the second half.

42min: GOAL!!!!!!!!! Bradford City 1 Leyton Orient 0 - City's pressure finally pays off! Halliday's clever flick on finds Stead in space deep inside the box and the striker squares for Knott to tap in from close range.
41min: Stead is the next to trouble Legzdins' goal for City when he is released into a pocket of space inside Orient's area. The forward prods for goal but his effort is repelled by the body of Legzdins. The ball eventually falls into Billy Knott's path seconds later but the midfielder's effort on his weaker right foot from just outside the area flies over the bar.
40min: Halliday's pull-back from inside the box eventually falls at the feet of Yeates and the Irishman's left-footed drive from the edge of the area flashes mere inches over the bar.
38min: A poor backpass from Orient as they attempt to clear a City corner allows Clarke to nip in with a sight of goal but the forward's drive from inside the box is pushed away by Legzdins.
37min: Yeates' ball infield finds Clarke just inside the box. The strike shoots for goal but the effort is deflected past the far post by the frame of Scott Cuthbert. The ball seems to have come off Cuthbert's outstretched arm following Clarke's shot but only a corner is awarded though - much to the annoyance of Clarke and his nearby team-mates.
36min: Halliday's inventive through-ball has Stead in behind Orient's offside trap but Legzdins is out quickly to kick clear just before the City striker can lie a toe on the ball.
31min: Rory McArdle gets up early to meet Yeates' corner delivery but the defender's header from just outside the six yard box is directed wide of Legzdins' far post.
