Bennett ready to go

24 January 2014

New Bantams winger Kyle Bennett can't wait to get started after completing his loan move to City this Friday from Championship side Doncaster Rovers.

Bennett has penned a loan deal at the Coral Windows Stadium which will keep him at Bradford until the end of the current season.

The tricky right winger is one of three loan signings made by Bantams boss Phil Parkinson over the past two days following the recent arrivals of both Adam Reach and Chris Atkinson as well.

Impressed by the size of City and its support, Bennett is buzzing ahead of his first opportunity to get out on the Coral Windows Stadium pitch in the claret and amber.

Bennett said: "The manager has just told me to come and be myself and do what I do best. I like to get on the ball and make things happen. Hopefully I can make things tick and give everyone a bit of a spark.

"The manager says that results haven't been as he would have wanted them to be recently but he just said for me to come in and try to give the team a bit of a spark.

"I feel I have some skill and I'm quite fast off the mark but I just like to entertain really.

"This is a massive club and I want to do the best for the team. The crowds here are very big and I'm looking forward to playing in front of such a support.

"This is a great stadium and there are some great supporters here and I am looking forward to it."

Like fellow recent loan signings Reach and Atkinson, Bennett has good experience of playing at League 1 level.

The winger enjoyed a spell with Crawley Town earlier this campaign while he also helped Doncaster Rovers win the League 1 title last season.

Bennett added: "I know this league from before and I've got promoted with Doncaster last season from this division. I played in 90% of the games last season for Doncaster.

"I know how to play in the league having played my football here before. It is a tough league and it can be unpredictable but I'm looking forward to giving it a go again."
