Signed Play-Off flag to bid for

21 September 2013

Bantams supporters only have hours left now get their hands on a truly special piece of signed Bradford City memorabilia and help a great cause at the same time.

A League 2 Play-Off Final winners flag, as shown in the picture above, has been placed on sale by City kitman John (Graham) Duckworth to help raise funds for Macmillian Cancer Support.

The Play-Off flag, which was used by the players during their post-match celebrations after the final at Wembley Stadium, has been signed by the players and staff involved in helping City into League 1.

The very special flag is available to bid on now via the auction website eBay. Supporters will be able to bid on the flag until 7:30pm this coming Tuesday (24 September 2013).

John has put the City items up for sale as part of his continued support for the Macmillian cancer charity.

On top of offering up this prized pieces of memorabilia, John is inviting Bantams supporters and members of the wider community to join him as City host their first World’s Biggest Coffee Morning this Friday (27th September) from 11:00am – 3:00pm in aid of Macmillan.

The event will take place within the Bantams Bar at the Coral Windows Stadium.

After helping to raise thousands of pounds in recent years for the Bradford Burns Unit through his Bantamstrek group, John is now aiming to continue his admirable work for charity in the hope of raising vital funds for Macmillan, which will help support people living with, or affected by cancer in Bradford.

John and the team are inviting members of the public to attend the event to enjoy coffee and cake together, with the possibility of some of Phil Parkinson's squad being there to support this worthwhile cause. All the money raised from the event will enable the charity to continue to make a difference to people living with cancer within the Bradford area.

On top of the coffee and cakes that will be available, there will be a prize raffle taking place which will allow supporters to bid for some other notable pieces of memorabilia.

Although John has managed to obtain a large number of different items for the auction, he is still on the lookout for any supporter wishing to help his charity coffee morning by donating something worthwhile.
