Thanks to Tockwith

26 March 2013

A big thank you must go out to the people involved in Tockwith Juniors Football Club for allowing Phil Parkinson's squad to use their facilities over the last couple of days.

With almost all suitable training facilities around the Bradford region incapacitated by the recent snowfall, City were thankfully able to turn to Tockwith Juniors to find grass pitches to train on this Monday and Tuesday.

Tockwith, which is located near Wetherby, has hardly been touched by snow recently, meaning the pitches by the village's primary school on Southfield Lane are in remarkably good condition for this time of year.

A grateful Parkinson said: "I'd like to give a big thanks to Tockwith Juniors for allowing the club to use their pitches over the last couple of days.

"Tockwith seems to be one of the few parts around this area of Yorkshire that hasn't really had any snow recently.

"It is always important, when possible, to give the lads some decent grass training pitches to work on in the build-up to a game.

"With that in mind, we are very grateful to Tockwith Juniors for letting us have this time on their facilities."
