Positive pitch update

25 September 2012

Despite the recent persistent rainfall affecting the Bradford region over the last couple of days, club officials remain confident that this (Tuesday) evening's Capital One Cup Third Round tie with Burton Albion will go ahead as scheduled.

As of 9:30am this Tuesday morning, club officials can confirm that the Valley Parade pitch remains in a perfectly playable condition and there is no standing water visible.

In fact, the pitch is in a firm enough condition for City groundsman Mick Doyle to be able to get a lawnmower out on the playing surface to cut the grass.

UPDATE - PITCH REMAINS IN THE SAME PLAYABLE CONDITION AS OF 11:30AM.

At present it would seem that the club's hard work to improve the pitch over the close season and early part of this 2012/2013 campaign appears to be paying off.

The club will, of course, update supporters if circumstances should change, but at the moment staff at the Coral Windows Stadium are continuing their preparations for this evening's tie.
