City boss Phil Parkinson was left purring by his side's latest home victory as the Bantams continued their 100% start to their Valley Parade fixtures this season with a fine victory over Morecambe this Tuesday evening.
The Shrimps became the fourth team in a row to leave the Coral Windows Stadium empty-handed following three superb strikes from James Hanson - his fifth of the season - Gary Jones and Kyel Reid.
With Tuesday's victory coming off the back of another home win three days ago against Barnet, Parkinson admitted that he is really pleased with his side's attitude at the moment.
Parkinson said: "I was really pleased all round. There was a lot of good things to come out of tonight. The energy in the team after Saturday's game was terrific and I thought the subs coming on were very good also.
"It's difficult to win Saturday-Tuesday during any point of the season, we know that, but I think the lads really have been excellent recently. They are buying into everything we are asking them to do.
"It was a terrific game of football - similar to the tempo and pace of our last Tuesday night game here against Fleetwood (Town).
"First half, I thought we were excellent, really played well. The only slight criticism was whether the goal was going to come or not (in the first half) because we had numerous chances.
"It obviously came though through a great strike from big James (Hanson). I felt we really deserved that because the lads stuck to the game plan to the letter in the opening half.
"Morecambe came into the game a bit more in the second half - we know that you will very rarely dominate a game for the whole 90 minutes. We lost our way slightly a bit during that period but that is only a minor criticism from what was a brilliant overall performance from the lads.
"Reidy (Kyel Reid) has then got us a goal of the highest order. It's amazing to think that is his first ever goal at Valley Parade since he's been at the club. That goal will do him the world of good - I was really pleased for him.
"They scored nearly straight after Reidy's and that could have made things a bit nervy, but Gary Jones stepped up for us at a moment when you most need your captain.
"Big players score important goals, and he certainly scored one tonight."
