Meredith wary of Oxford threat

20 September 2012

City defender James Meredith says that the Bantams will not be fooled one bit by Oxford United's recent losing streak ahead of the club's trip to the Kassam Stadium this weekend.

While Phil Parkinson's men head into this Saturday's clash off the back of two successive victories, opponents Oxford have lost their last four league games in a row.

Oxford did start their league campaign with three consecutive wins before their downturn in form, however, and Meredith admits City know they will be in for a challenging afternoon this Saturday.

The Australian-born left back told Bantams Player: The manager has already drummed into us that this Saturday will be a testing and tough fixture for us.

"He has got us well-prepared for what they are going to throw at us.

"We know we have a challenge ahead of us but we all want to bring the high spirits we've had from our recent home matches into this Saturday."
