City's npower League 2 fixture at Wycombe Wanderers this Saturday (22 December 2012) has been POSTPONED due to a waterlogged pitch.
With standing water covering a number of sections of the Adams Park pitch after heavy overnight rain, the match was called off just after 10:30am this morning.
Referee Scott Mathieson was called into stadium early to take a look at the pitch once Wycombe had expressed their concerns.
Tests of the pitch using a club match-ball showed up several areas of the pitch that were simply unplayable and with rain forecasted to continue throughout the day, the match official had no choice but to call the game off.
No new date for this outstanding fixture has been arranged as of yet but tickets for the original game will be valid.
