Wells and Doyle doutbful

24 December 2012

Bantams duo Nahki Wells and Nathan Doyle are both doubtful for City's Boxing Day match with Accrington Stanley at the Coral Windows Stadium due to illness.

Wells and Doyle both reported in feeling unwell over the weekend with a stomach virus, resulting in the pair missing yesterday's (Sunday) and today's (Monday) group training sessions with the squad ahead of the Accrington fixture.

The club's medical staff will continue to check in on their progress over the next twenty-four hours or so, but Bantams boss Phil Parkinson admits being laid low so close to a match will affect their chances of playing.

Parkinson said: "Both Nahki and Doyley have picked up a bit of a stomach bug.

"It's nothing serious but we will have to monitor them to see if they feel well enough to be in contention for Accrington.

"At this moment they are definitely doubts for the game."
