Haynes-Brown update

28 August 2012

The football club would like to update supporters on the progress of Wimbledon defender Curtis Haynes-Brown after receiving a number of messages enquiring about the left back's health.

Haynes-Brown, who was making his debut for the Dons during their 5-1 defeat at the hands of the Bantams last Saturday, was stretchered off halfway through the second half of the game at the Coral Windows Stadium.

The defender picked up a nasty-looking neck injury after challenging with Zavon Hines for a Kyel Reid cross just past the hour mark.

Thankfully though, despite initial concerns, it does appear that Haynes-Brown's injury isn't as bad as first feared.

He was kept in overnight at Bradford Royal Infirmary after the game for observation before being allowed to return south on Sunday.

Haynes-Brown did suffer a concussion in the incident but x-rays have confirmed no fractures to his neck or cheekbone.

Bradford City Football Club would like to take this opportunity wish Curtis a speedy recovery.
