Gareth Evans re-joined the Bantams in September 2020, penning a two-year deal from Portsmouth.
The experienced 32-year-old spent two years in West Yorkshire between 2009 and 2011, before signing for Rotherham United - scoring on 14 occasions.
Evans has spent the past five seasons at Sky Bet League One side Portsmouth, where he captained the club and made more than 200 appearances.
