Sam arrived at the Bantams in the summer of 2019 from Port Vale, having impressed in EFL Trophy games for the Valiants over the course of the 2018/19 season.
The commanding goalkeeper is highly rated and is no stranger to life in the EFL, having represented both Vale and Burton Albion in his career thus far.
A 24-year-old, Hornby will be looking to make an impression at City and challenge for the number one jersey over the coming campaign.
