Romoney Crichlow anticipates the Bantams to be “full of confidence” ahead of tomorrow's Carabao Cup visit of Blackburn Rovers.

The Sky Bet Championship outfit visit the University of Bradford Stadium after Mark Hughes' men eliminated Hull City in round one, before a 3-1 victory over Hartlepool United on Saturday.

The centre-half, on loan from Huddersfield Town, is proud of the relationships built on and off the pitch and believes the squad is becoming stronger.

He said: “It was great to get our first away win, especially after losing to Colchester. To go away from home and pick up three points felt really good.

“It was a focus of ours that we did not concede late. It was heartbreaking against Barrow and Colchester but, on Saturday, we did put our style of play on the game and it worked well.

“It is a completely new squad and we are still building our chemistry. We are doing a great job in terms of everyone learning how each other plays. From the defence’s point of view, we are really gelling, now.

“After the win against Hartlepool, we go into tomorrow full of confidence and we want to keep this cup run going. For us, it is another game we are looking to win. We will look to play in our style and show our mentality.”

Despite admitting there is an expectation on City to perform on a consistent basis, the 23-year-old praised the attitude and commitment that can aid the Bantams in league and domestic success, which he has seen from his time at the club so far.

He has called on he and his team-mates to take this into tomorrow's clash, and hopefully use it to good effect.

“Tomorrow, we will play with the same attitude that we did when we played Sunderland in pre-season and Hull in the first round,” Crichlow added.

“We know the level of opposition. and we respect it. At the same time, though, we know our ability and the quality we have to score and defend goals.

“We go into every game wanting to win, regardless of the level of opponent.

“Everyone is looking forward to tomorrow. We want to get through Blackburn and, hopefully, the supporters can be rewarded with a big fixture in the next round.”
