ADAMS RUES MISSED OPPORTUNITIES

Derek Adams was left frustrated by his side's finishing - following their 1-1 draw with Barrow.

Despite periods of dominance, City were unable to find a winning goal and were held by a resilient performance from the Bluebirds.

The City manager insisted his team deserved more from the game, but has called for them to be more clinical.

Adams said: “After we went behind in the game, we created a lot of really good opportunities in the match.

“We dominated for large spells but, either because we are not hitting the target or having a shot blocked, we are just not finishing that final chance.

“As a manager, you set your team out to try and create openings. We did not allow them to have too many opportunities after that 10-minute spell at the start.

“But, at this moment in time, we are just not being clinical enough.”

Adams was quick to turn attention to midweek action, where his side will face Manchester United Under-21’s in the Papa Johns Trophy, ahead of a long trip down to Crawley Town next weekend.

The Bantams boss hinted at making changes for the visit of Neil Wood's side, and will begin preparation on the training field tomorrow.

He said: “We will come into training tomorrow and prepare for Tuesday night’s game in the Papa John’s Trophy, and make a few changes in that game.

“We did not do that last time because of the strong opposition we were up against in Lincoln City, but will make changes to the team on Tuesday ahead of the Crawley game.”
