Bradford City Under-18s recorded their first victory of the 2020/21 EFL Youth Alliance North East campaign, overcoming Notts County 3-0.

A clinical first-half display saw the young Bantams notch three goals before the interval at their Woodhouse Grove training base - to take all three points.

The first big chance of the game fell to the visitors in the fourth minute. City goalkeeper Darryl Ombang was forced in to a fine save to keep the scores level in the opening stages.

Mark Trueman’s team then rallied to take the lead 26 minutes in, thanks to a fine team move finished off by a Charlie Wood header.

The Bantams then added a second just under 10 minutes later when defender Sam Bentley scored a header from a corner on his first start of the season, to put City 2-0 up and in cruise control.

Trueman's side then added a third goal just before the end of the first half, to take a commanding lead into the interval.

Bantams forward Dylan Youmbi was bought down by County goalkeeper Llyod Horridge, only for the referee to play advantage which allowed Bobby Pointon to slot the ball into the empty net.

City worked through the second half of the game without conceding and managed their three-goal advantage comfortably, to record their first three points of the campaign.
