The club wishes to update supporters on advice offered by the EFL in relation to technical issues experienced with iFollow Bantams.
A number of supporters encountered a range of problems with the streaming service around City’s opening Sky Bet League Two fixture against Colchester United on Saturday.
The EFL has assured club officials that supporters who were incorrectly charged - having attempted to redeem what they believed to be a correct iFollow video access code - will be automatically refunded.
Conversely, supporters who attempted to redeem a code which they discovered to be interpreted as ‘invalid’ by the online service are politely asked to e-mail ifollow@efl.com.
This e-mail must include the assigned code which was deemed invalid in order for you to receive an iFollow video access code enabling you to watch one of City’s upcoming EFL Trophy matches - in lieu of not being able to stream the Colchester fixture.
iFollow Bantams is the official streaming service of Bradford City Football Club, which is provided and maintained by the EFL.
The club was given assurances by the EFL that the iFollow system would be able to cope with the added demand of streaming an entire league programme of matches over the course of one weekend.
Every effort was made by Bantams officials to ensure each supporter who renewed their ‘City For All’ 2020/21 season ticket - and provided the club with up-to-date contact details - could redeem a code and register to the platform.
The club was also made aware of various compatibility issues with certain devices and web browsers, which made the streaming process more complex.
Of the dozens of queries, concerns and complaints relating to iFollow, only a limited amount were able to be resolved by the club, with the EFL - as official service provider - being able to offer more accurate and efficient feedback on the technicalities of iFollow.
