Connor Wood is determined to help the Bantams turn their fortunes ahead of tonight's visit of Southend United (7.00pm).
City sit 16th in Sky Bet League Two after two wins, three draws and four defeats in their opening nine fixtures.
Wood acknowledged the Bantams’ recent form has been disappointing, though insisted they have a good opportunity to begin climbing the table again this evening.
“It is a quick turnaround from Saturday into Tuesday, so there is not too much time to reflect on bad performances and results,” he said.
“With things not going in our favour, it is good to have fixtures coming thick and fast and have an instant opportunity to respond - as we are aiming to do against Southend.
“I do not think there is one thing we can specifically pinpoint to identify why results have not been up to scratch, of late.
“With some games there have been individual errors and in others we have not been good enough as a collective.
“We have not been consistent enough and have conceded goals early on, which have reduced our chances of getting anything from the game.
“You do get times in a 46-game season where things do not go your way. It is natural for all teams to lose games.
“These things happen in football, but I am confident that once we put an end to this run we will be able to start a good run again and enter a rich vein of form.”
Wood believes tonight's game represents a good opportunity for Stuart McCall's men ton return to winning ways.
The City defender is not, however underestimating the challenge of a side which is still to pick up its first Sky Bet League Two victory of the season.
The 24-year-old added: “In this league, anyone can beat anyone and there is never an easy game.
“It is a game between two teams who are out of form and it is massively important for us to win.
“We have to go in with our heads held high and pin them on the back foot, by taking the game to them.
“With them likely to be low on confidence as well, it is a good opportunity for us to turn our form around, but we are not really viewing it like that.
“We just know that we need to start quickly and give ourselves every chance, regardless of who we are up against.”
