City’s under-18s side - which contained five under-16s - were unable to continue their winning form as they suffered a 4-2 defeat at Huddersfield Town.
Mark Trueman’s boys took control early in the first-half, but were unable to hold onto their lead as the Terriers bounced back to steal all three points.
After a couple half chances from both sides, the Bantams were first on the scoresheet - in the 25th minute.
Under-16 Jack Wilson was quickest to react, smashing in from an angle to give City the early lead.
Despite falling behind, Town replied nine minutes later - through Patrick Jones.
The attacker was gifted possession before smacking a shot low into the bottom corner of the net.
As confidence grew, the Terriers made it two on the stroke of half-time - courtesy of Brahima Diarra.
The No.9 slipped through the middle before guiding home, seeing his side take a lead into the interval.
Nevertheless, the young Bantams hit back after the restart. This time it was Jonny White with the goal.
The striker tapped in under-16 Leke Ajibode’s deflected long-range effort - on the 70th-minute mark.
Despite Trueman's side levelling the scores, the home side took the lead once more - three minutes later.
After a few unsuccessful attempts at goal, Mustapha Olagunju rose above the rest to head the ball in from a corner - to make it 3-2.
As the encounter continued, Jon Worthington’s side secured all three points inside the final 10 minutes, through a Ben Midgley penalty.
