eSPORTS SIDE PREPARING FOR 'EUROPEAN FOOTBALL'

16 March 2020

Bradford City eSports are gearing up for their new season - in which they will compete in the Champions League.

In what was just their second campaign together, City's eSports side finished second in the English eSports Premier, proving the only side all season to beat eventual league-winners Queens Park Rangers.

On the back of this, they secured their place in next season's Champions League competition, which pits the best eSports sides on the continent against one another.

The side also competed in the Virtual Pro Gaming Premier North division - where they will again ply their trade next time out - as well as reaching the semi-finals and quarter-finals of the North Cup and VPG Cup respectively.

The new campaign brings personnel changes for the team, both on and off the virtual pitch.

Ex-manager 'Limsy' - who was forced to stand down due to other commitments - has been replaced by the arriving Gary, who will take charge of on-field affairs.

Adam Patel, who is returning to the side for the new season as co-manager, is also joined by seven player signings the team have made, as they look to battle on all fronts.

With the Bantams' first-team matches in Sky Bet League Two suspended until at least April 3, now represents the perfect time - more than ever - to support Bradford City eSports.
