CLUB STATEMENT: FIRST-TEAM TRAINING SUSPENDED

14 March 2020

The club has suspended first-team training until Monday March 23, as a precautionary measure.

The decision has been made after a member of City's coaching staff was sent home to self-isolate, in line with government advice, having begun to display symptoms associated with COVID-19.

As a further precaution, following the continued outbreak of coronavirus, the rest of the Bantams' playing and coaching staff will now also self-isolate until a week on Monday.

Following yesterday's announcement, which saw every Premier League and EFL fixture put on hold until early April, all academy training and matches were suspended until further notice.

Players will each be provided with a GPS unit, enabling them to monitor their fitness levels in relation to a tailored training programme.

This measure is designed to ensure Stuart McCall's squad remains in peak physical condition upon its return to training.

The Utilita Energy Stadium remains open and all departments will function as normal, in line with government guidelines.

The National Health Service continues to advise members of the public to stay at home if you have either a high temperature or developed a new, continuous cough.
