City are set to contest their third away fixture on four games, travelling to Colchester United tomorrow (7.45pm). 

John McGreal's men have enjoyed a recent upturn in fortunes and are sat eighth in the Sky Bet League Two table. 

We have compiled an Opposition Guide packed full of detailed information on Tuesday's hosts.

SUMMER TRANSFER ACTIVITY

The JobServe Community Stadium outfit have strentgthened with 11 new signings since the summer, with a further 18 departing.

ONES TO WATCH

Cohen Bramall:

Born in Crewe, left-back Bramell signed for Colchester in the summer having began his career in the non-league. 

Following successful stints at the likes of Hednesford Town and Nantwich Town, the 23-year-old was snapped up by Arsenal in 2017, from where he was released at the end of last season. 

Callum Harriott:

A tricky winger, 25-year-old Harriott began his career at Charlton Athletic having graduated from the academy at The Valley. 

The Guyana international penned a two-year contract at the U's in September, having enjoyed a spell on loan at the JobServe Community Stadium in the 2015/16 campaign. 

Harry Pell: 

Pell began his professional career in 2009 as an 18-year-old with Charlton Athletic, where he is a product of the academy. 

Now 28, the 6ft 4ins midfielder has enjoyed spells at Bristol Rovers, AFC Wimbledon and, most notably, Cheltenham Town. 

Theo Robinson:

A 30-year-old frontman, Robinson carries a wealth of EFL experience having represented Millwall, Huddersfield Town, Derby County and Doncaster Rovers amongst others. 

The Watford academy graduate and former Jamaica international is on loan from fellow Essex outfit Southend United, and has seven goals to his name so far, this season. 

THE MANAGER

John McGreal has been in charge at Colchester since May 2016, making him one of the longest-serving managers in the EFL. 

Born in Birkenhead, the 47-year-old began his playing career at his hometown club Tranmere Rovers, also representing Ipswich Town and Burnley. 

After joining the U's' coaching setup in 2009, McGreal went on to enjoy a caretaker stint in 2015, prior to his full-time appointment. 

THE CAPTAIN

Experienced defender Luke Prosser has been at the U's since singning on a two-year contract from Southend United in June 2016. 

The 31-year-old began his youth career at Tottenham Hotspur, before graduating through Port Vale's academy and beginning his professional career in Staffordshire. 

The 6ft 3ins Enfield man has also enjoyed loan spells with the likes of Northampton Town, Rushden and Diamonds and Kidderminster Harriers. 

LAST TIME OUT

Colchester extended their Sky Bet League Two unbeaten run to 13 matches last time out with a 2-1 win over Macclesfield.
