The defender displayed several consistent performances prior to the turn of the year, playing his part as the Bantams conceded just one goal over the course of the month.
O'Connor played every minute of Gary Bowyer's side's five matches, helping the team keep four clean sheets in the process.
The Irishman goes up against City's on-loan Swindon Town striker Eoin Doyle, Colchester United's Harry Pell and Randell Williams of Exeter City.
