TEAM NEWS

City: New signing Luke McGee coould be in line to make his Bantams debut for the visit of Scunthorpe.

The goalkeeper signed yesterday following the news Richard O'Donnell would miss up to four weeks through injury.

Kelvin Mellor and Harry Pritchard could also return to the side following recent injury setbacks.

Scunthorpe: Striker Lee Novak will play no part having got sent off in the Iron's last game at Newport.

This opens the door for former Bantams Jamie Proctor and George Miller to potentially start up front for the visitors.

Other ex-City stars Rory McArdle and Alex Gilliead could also be in line to play against Gary Bowyer's side.

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAID

Gary Bowyer: “He has shown what a quality manager he is and has a big rebuilding job on his hands at Scunthorpe.

“He will be looking at this transfer window to further help Scunthorpe’s progress.

“They did not start the season off great, but have some good players and will provide a big test for us.”

Paul Hurst: "Bradford have some good players and have been up there challenging. There will be a big crowd at the game, which hopefully the players will thrive off.

"They were eight unbeaten prior to last week, and it is very rare a team goes on runs much longer than that.

"Clearly, like any team they will want to get back to winning ways, especially in front of their own fans. Our job is to go there to try and make sure it does not happen."

LAST TIME OUT

The Bantams' return fixture with the Iron came at the Sands Venue Stadium in September.
