WOMEN PREPARING FOR WEST YORKSHIRE DERBY

19 February 2020

Bradford City Women are gearing up for a West Yorkshire derby this evening, travelling to neighbours Leeds United.

Taking place under the lights at United's Thorpe Arch training base, action is set to get underway from 7.45pm.

The FA Women's National League North encounter will mark the third time the two sides have met this season, with the Whites edging the first two.

Following a pair of highly-competitive match-ups earlier in the campaign, manager Chris Hames will be looking forward to seeing how his side have continued to develop under his leadership.

After being depleted by way of personnel over the past few weeks, Hames' side were unable to name any substitutes, last time out.

Tonight, however, they are expected to be stronger, with several players set to return from knocks they had been carrying and top scorer Falone Sumaili returning from international duty with Burundi.

The Bantams head into the tie full of confidence having only been denied victory against Chester le Street - last time out - by a stoppage-time penalty.
