Stuart McCall admits excitement is brewing ahead of his first game back in the City dugout - since returning as manager on Tuesday.
McCall will begin his third stint as manager of the club - alongside long-term assistant Kenny Black - when the Bantams play host to Grimsby Town tomorrow (3.00pm).
The former Scotland international is looking forward to returning home and anticipates an entertaining afternoon.
He said: “I cannot wait to get going again. I am really excited to be back in football and even more so to be here - at a proper football club.
“As I know more than most, this is a special club - with an incredible set of supporters. I am looking forward to getting back out in front of them again.
“The support, both against Grimsby and thereafter, will be crucial for us. They are bringing almost 3,000 supporters, so the atmosphere should be electric.
“It is sure to be a good occasion but will only be a great occasion if we win.
“As a club, we are desperate to bring the feel-good factor back to Bradford City.”
While wanting to pick up results, McCall has also spoken of his desire to please supporters through playing an attractive brand of football.
The Bantams boss wants to be able to win matches in style and has vowed to keep the City faithful on the edges of their seats.
He added: “Results are what brings supporters back, but we have to keep the them interested. We want to win, but win well.
“We need to please our supporters and play in a which will get results.
“I would much rather win 5-4 than 1-0. It is not great for the goalkeepers, but we have to play in a manner which entertains people. I think it is the way football should be played.
“We want shots at goal and crosses into the box and hope to be able to deliver that, beginning with the Grimsby game.”
